How To Reduce The Error Of The Ammeter

Dec 29, 2022

The ammeter manufacturers specialize in the production of ammeters, voltmeters, hertz meters and other instruments, so they are very familiar with ammeters, voltmeters and other instruments. The ammeter manufacturers have introduced the errors of ammeters before. How should we reduce the errors of ammeters and provide their accuracy?

Instrument transformers also have accuracy grades based on allowable errors. Generally, watt-hour meters require the use of 0.5-level transformers.

Use a voltmeter to measure the phase voltage, that is, the voltage between the live wire and the ground wire. A voltmeter of 0~250V can be selected. If the motor voltage is 380V, the voltmeter can be 0~450V or 0~500V, and the two terminals of the voltmeter must be connected to two live wires respectively.

Use an AC ammeter to monitor the current of the motor. The ammeter should be 1.5 to 2.5 times the rated current of the motor. If the selection is too large, the error is also large: if the selection is too small, the instrument will be easily damaged under the impact of the motor starting current.
